Happy birthday ~ Daniela Pesconi-Arthur ~ The Mighty Women

Another spring, in the middle of the cold Welsh winter. My heart has been constantly enjoying Spring. There’s soooo much I have to be #grateful for today! So let’s get started.

I want to thank God (I’ve already had my private chat with Him this morning. πŸ˜‰ ) for the gift of life! For the chance to wake up every morning and think how blessed I am! I am also grateful for my mother and father, you know,Β  if if hadn’t been for them, I wouldn’t be here, blah blah blah”. This is too obvious. Of course I needed them to be here. But I must also thank them for bringing me up with such strong values that I still carry in my life today; of justice, kindness, perseverance, responsibility and courage. My mother used to say that I was the rebel of the family, and indeed I was. With her I also learned to let go of things that no longer bring me joy. With my father, the most important thing I learned is to never stop learning. Hey, Dad, look at me here! πŸ™‹. πŸ™‚ With my sisters I learned how to love strong, and unconditionally. I guess I owe the fact that I’m sure I’m going to be a kick ass mum because of them! Haha. My grey hairs…Β πŸ˜Β πŸ’ž

I am grateful for the amazing man God has allowed me to meet and to love and to marry. From across the ocean came the love and relationship that only in my dreams I had imagined. He’s my rock, my fan, he’s THE MAN behind this mighty woman. πŸ’žΒ (Beaut, thanks for framing my FIRST EVER “Letter from the editor”! xxx)

I am grateful for the amazing friends I’ve had throughout my life. Old, childhood friends; newcomers; new friends that I’m sure will become old with me! Some days I can’t keep up with my WhatsApp, really. And I LOVE every minute of it!

I’m grateful for awesome people I met through work and that made or have made the days easier just by laughing together. Thank you guys!

I’m grateful for the opportunity of starting The Mighty Women magazine, and for being able to reach amazing women and help them, either via my workshops, my website posts, Facebook groups, emails, and, of course THE magazine. I’m also grateful for people who helped me make it happen. A shout out to Classy Career Girls, my extraordinary Mastermind ladies and magazine collaborators. I wouldn’t have made it without you. πŸ™Œ

As you can see, I have SO MUCH to thank for, that I decided to give on my birthday. This is the first time I’m doingΒ something like that, and to be honest, I’ll have to thank Facebook for popping this up on my feed: a fundraiser for a breast cancer charity.

If you know me, or read more about me, you know my mother died of metastatic (egh! I can’t even spell the word without having to look it up, you ugly word!) breast cancer in 2013. You can read more about it inΒ this book I wrote last year as a challenge for Marie Curie fundraiser. This is a cause that speaks (well, screams) to my heart and I just couldn’t NOT do it.

So, I am inviting you to celebrate my birthday with me, donating ANY amount to Breast Cancer Care. All you have to do is click on the image below to get to the donation page on Facebook. It’s easy pease from there. It ends tomorrow (17th January 😊)

And to end this post, I am SO GRATEFUL for YOU, #mightywomen reader and follower, for supporting me and inspiring and motivating me along this amazing journey of creating The Mighty Women project.

Thanks a million!

Love and gratitude,
